Larry A. Bloom, age 70, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Iron River Care Center. He was born on October 19, 1951, in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Campbell) Bloom. He graduated from San Fernando High School in California. Larry married Penny Cholewinski on November 9, 1974, in Canoga Park, CA. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in 2020. He was employed as a sheet metal worker on HVAC equipment in Los Angeles, CA and Denver, CO. Larry was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He loved to read Louis L’Amour and Clive Cussler books and enjoyed taking nice long walks with his dogs, Babe and Katie. He also collected coins, old and new, especially pennies. Larry is survived by his wife, Penny; sons, Joseph (Tiffany) Bloom of Commerce City, CO and Scott Bloom of Kingsford, MI; brothers, Rodney Bloom of Pahrump, NV, Danny (Jackie) Bloom of Simi Valley, CA, Gary (Claudia) Bloom of Broomfield, CO, and Marty (Kim) Bloom of Castle Rock, CO; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Susan Bloom. Private services will be held.
