Larry H. Puckett, age 64 of Iron River, MI passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 16, 2009 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI following a brief illness. Born: April 10, 1945 in Stambaugh, MI The son of the late Andrew Puckett and Louise (Abrahamson) Puckett Aho. He attended the Stambaugh schools. He married the former Gail Olson Oct. 17, 1964 at the Presbyterian Church, Iron River. The couple moved to Milwaukee, WI where Larry was employed as a tool and dye caster. In 1966 he was drafted by the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge the couple settled in Iron River. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in 2008. Larry was a miner employed by the CCI Mining Company, Republic, MI retiring in 1992 due to a work injury. He was also preceded in death by his step-father; Eino Aho Survived by his wife, Gail Son, Larry Shawn Puckett of Potwin, KS Daughter, Tammy (Stephen) Diaczyszyn of Fredericksburg, VA Brother, Lowell (Debbie) Puckett of Muskegon, MI Four sisters; Annette (James) Puckett of Iron River Barbara (Rick) Schneider of Aurora, WI Shelley (Steve) Baumann of Appleton, WI Candy (Bruce) Robinson of Silver Cliff, WI Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles He will be sadly missed by his family and special friends of the coffee circle at Holiday Station.
