Laura Y Schrader

Laura Y. Schrader, 77, of Gaastra, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born October 23, 1935 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, daughter of the late Walter A. and Edna Mae (Magaard) Hall. She moved to the Iron River area as a child and attended the Iron River Schools. Laura married Elmer Schrader in 1980 and the couple made their home in Gaastra. Laura liked animals and enjoyed caring for her pets, gardening, and visiting with people. She was preceded in death by her son, Fred Lambert, and daughter, Kathy Lambert-Mathison (Tart). Laura is survived by her husband, Elmer; brother, David Hall of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Mary Takala of Crystal Falls; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial services will be held at a later date with time and date to be announced. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
