Leone Sanders

Mrs. Leone ""Bobbie"" Sanders, age 99, Caspian, MI died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River. Born: May 16, 1909, Stambaugh, MI The daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Melchiori attended the Stambaugh Schools. She married Louis Sanders in 1939 in Illinois and the couple made their home in Caspian. Louis preceded her in death in 1983. Bobbie was a telephone operator with Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 25 years, retiring in 1973. She was an active member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and St. Ann's Society. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Aldo and Ernest Melchiori. She is survived by her dear friend, Ann Brunamonti Nieces and nephews Visitation: Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor , to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Ann's Society will form an honor guard at the funeral. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, MI Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
