Lillian M. Novak

Lillian M. Novak, age 100, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born on July 31, 1920 in Caspian, MI, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Kravontka) Novak. Lillian was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended the Caspian and Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1938. She was employed as a secretary for the Caspian Construction Company and was the secretary for the City of Caspian, until retiring. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Society. Lillian is survived by her nephew, whom she raised, Wayne Hanmer of Marquette, MI; sister-in-law, Lois Novak of Iron River, MI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George and John Novak and sisters, Ann Hanmer, Helen Hendricks, Katherine Frizzo, Sophia Trewartha, Marian Archocosky, Dorothy Novak, and Victoria Glessner. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
