Lisa A. Hanninen

Lisa A. Hanninen, age 48, of Vine Grove, KY formerly of Iron River, MI, unexpectedly passed away on June 16, 2023. She was born on January 2, 1975, in Iron River, MI. She was the daughter of Rose (Montambo) Hanninen and the late John Hanninen. She attended West Iron County Schools, graduating with the class of 1994. She earned an associate degree in science from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Lisa loved to write poems and take walks in nature. She loved her children and was a very caring compassionate person. She enjoyed learning about different cultures, camping, hiking, and painting. Lisa is survived by her sons, Kyle Kuenn and Anthony Aalid, both of Iron Mountain MI; brother, John (Amy) Hanninen of Rineyville, KY; sisters, Tina (Kirk) Jensen of Iron Mountain, MI and Melissa (Russell) Bobnock of Iron River, MI; one niece, Skyler Hanninen; two nephews, Matthew Hanninen and Derek Bobnock; grandmother, Marie Montambo of Iron River; extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jason Liebenow to officiate.
