Lloyd Bewsher

Lloyd A. Bewsher Age 78 Iron River, MIDied Monday, March 28, 2011 at his home. Born: September 10, 1932 in Stambaugh, MI The son of the late Allen and Marjorie (Manning) Kovero attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School in 1951. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was employed as a foreman for Layne Western for 19 years, retiring in 1989. Lloyd married the former Joan Berlin on November 26, 1952 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2002. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church of Iron River, American Legion Reino Post # 21 and the International Union of Operating Engineers. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting rabbits, fishing and spending time at his cabin at Perch Lake. He is survived by his wife, Joan Son, Allen (Debbie) Bewsher of Wichita, KS Daughters; Janet (Thomas) Van Wagner of Iron River Barbara (Nathan) Weisman of Venice, FL Five grandchildren; Joey (Lisa) Van Wagner Karla Van Wagner Jessica Bewsher Jennifer Bewsher Brett Bewsher Visitation: Friday, April 1, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Iron River Memorial Service: Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Iron River, with Rev. Manuel Padilla to officiate.The West Side Veterans will accard Military Rites at the service. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
