Lois A Borns

Lois A. Borns, age 84 of Iron River, MI, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Iron River Care Center. Born: March 9. 1926 in Iron River, MI The daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Christensen) Borns attended the Iron River schools and graduated. She then attended Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a 5th grade teacher at the Gladstone Public School for 33 years, retiring in 1985. After retirement, she returned to the Iron River area to make her home. Lois was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert K. and Henry Borns. She is survived by two nieces, one nephew, cousins and extended family. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River, in the spring.
