Loren "Pard" J. Bess

Loren "Pard" John Bess, age 80, of Iron River, passed on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. "Pard" was born on September 3, 1936 in Ishpeming, Michigan, to John and Rose (Bengston) Bess. He graduated from Ishpeming High School. “Pard” is survived by his wife Jean of 62 years; daughter, Jill (Reen) Korach, their children, Reenlee and Kimberlee (Michael) Batti, and grandchildren, Kalli Granquist, Ethan, Carson and Kingston Batti; daughter, Sara (Mick) Tarsi, their children, Nathan (Shauna) and Alison, and granddaughter Stella Tarsi; daughter, Gretchen (Mike) Roth, their children, Jenna, Jessie and Nick; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald, sister, Arlene Ruby, and nephew Kevin Hendrickson.  He attended St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. He enjoyed spending time with family and was very loved by both family and friends.
