Loretta J. Montambo

Loretta G. Montambo, age 68, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at UP Health System-Marquette. She was born on November 5, 1951 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Evert and Edwina (Martin) Ritchie. She attended the Iron River Schools and graduated. Loretta married Roger Montambo on May 1, 1971 at the Assembly of God Church in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary earlier this year. She enjoyed taking care of her garden, camping and spending time outdoors, and drawing and painting. Loretta is survived by her husband, Roger; sons, Ira Montambo and Matthew Montambo, both of Iron River, MI, Eric (Jessica) Montambo of Sheboygan, WI, and Wade Montambo of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; brothers, James (Idalis) Ritchie, Brian (Kim) Ritchie, and Jonathan (Lia) Ritchie, all of Long Lake, WI, Michael (Lauyana) Ritchie of Wabeno, WI, and Mark (Barbara) Ritchie of Blackwell, WI; sister, Wanda (Dennis) Schwind of Wauseon, OH; sister-in-law, Sawnie Ritchie of Goodman, WI; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death her brother, Rockford Ritchie and sister, Christine Barker. Private services will be held. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
