Loretta M. Moore

Loretta M. Moore, age 80, of Gillett, WI, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. Loretta was born July 23, 1935 in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late Dillard and Sudie (Ponders) Puckett. She attended the Stambaugh Schools. Loretta married Santford Moore on January 2, 1954 and the couple made their home in Gillett, WI for over 25 years. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2014. Santford preceded her in death on January 13, 2014. Loretta attended the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Jerry) Taylor of Gillett; son, Sam (Kelly) Moore of Gillett; brother, Jim (Annette) Puckett of Iron River; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Moore; brothers, Allen, Andrew, Lewis, David, and Herman Puckett; sisters, Gladys Rowe, Eunice Newman, Edith Underwood, Elizabeth Woodring, Pearl Watkins, Elsie Abrahamson, and Nancy Carlson. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate.
