Loretta Irene Willison age 73 of Beechwood, MI passed away on November 23, 2021. Loretta was born on October 26, 1948, in Phelps, WI to Floyd Nordstrom and Frances O’Connor Nordstrom. She was the firstborn of four children which by default made her “the boss”. She attended the Iron River School System. She married Ronald Willison on October 29, 1966 and welcomed his three children as her own and added three more to their family in the coming years. She loved to cook and decorate. She could promptly turn a shack into a home with a knack for interior decorating and making it cozy. One could always smell a home-cooked meal on the stove when you entered the door of her home. She was an amazing cook, and we will miss her fine cooking. She loved big family gatherings with good food, family, and friends to share it on the holidays or any time she could persuade us to have one. If you went away hungry, it was your own fault because she cooked way too much, and everybody had food to take home. She also enjoyed playing cards, playing dice games, gardening, listening to music and visiting with others. She dearly loved her three dogs and cat. She is survived by four children, Pam Oyler of Toledo, OH, Brian (Dawn) Willison of Sun Prairie, WI, Sheila (Jeff) Smith of Beechwood MI, and Dawn (Jon) Hepler of Caspian, MI; daughter-in-law, Amalina Willison of Waterford, MI; fourteen grandchildren, Eric, Jeremy, Nathan, Matthew, Scott, Tanya, Jessi, Randy, Mindy, Michaela, Ronald, Amber, Jacob and Kalob; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Nordstrom of Elkhart, IN, Richard (Patti) Nordstrom of Beechwood, MI, and Lea Ann (Gary) White of Long Lake, WI; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Frances Nordstrom; maternal grandparents, Henry and Loretta O’Connor; paternal grandparents, Walter and Irene Nordstrom; husband, Ronald Willison; sons. Ronald “Blair” and Randy Willison; grandson, Alain Willison; two nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary White to officiate.
