Lori L. Hookenson, 70, of Gaastra, MI passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at UP Health System, Marquette, MI.
She was born on February 24, 1956, in Iron River, MI, the daughter of Edward and Joan (Parolari) LaBay. She attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1975.
Lori married Dale Hookenson on February 14, 2004, in Iron River. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary this year.
She was employed in housekeeping at the nursing home prior to retirement. Lori loved spending time outdoors and taking care of her flowers.
Lori is survived by her husband, Dale Hookenson; sons, Jason McLean Antigo, WI and Jeremy McLean of Iron River, MI; granddaughter, Avery McLean; sister, Pamela (David) Barry of Iron River; brother, Michael “Mickey” (Nancy) LaBay; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William LaBay.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
