Lorin R. Mayer

Lorin R. Mayer, age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital. He was born May 24, 1937 in Green Valley, WI, the son of the late Albert and Hilda (Regal) Mayer. He was employed as a machinist at Nor Fab for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.   Lorin is survived by his step-son, Larry (Kay) Giese of North Carolina; grandson, Wes Willette; brothers, Dennis (Judith) Mayer of Abrams, WI and Mitchell Mayer of Gresham, WI.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lorin “Buddy” Randy Mayer, Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Willette, and brothers, Merlin, Raymond, Ronnie and Randy.
