Lorraine A. Meinhardt

Lorraine A. Meinhardt, 98, of Iron River, MI passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.

She was born on June 7, 1927, in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late Alex and Mabel (Oss) Carlson. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the class of 1945.

Lorraine married Francis “Frank” Meinhardt in 1975 in Iron River. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1993.

She was employed as an editorial secretary at the University of Wisconsin before retiring. Lorraine enjoyed gardening and knitting and the company of her cat, Cheyanne.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Raymond Graves of Iron River and extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin Graves and brothers, Theron, Walter, and Clifford Carlson.

Private family services will be held.
