Lorraine Omillian

Lorraine M. Omillian Age 81 Iron River, MIDied Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: March 24, 1930 in Mequon Township, WI The daughter of the late Albert and Anna Marie (Johnson) Jewell attended the Crystal Falls Schools. She was a nurse's aide working at Iron County Medical Care Facility, the Crystal Falls Hospital, and retiring from Iron County Community Hospital in 2001. Lorraine married Julius ""Juba"" Omillian on July 14, 1950 in Crystal Falls and the couple made their home in Mineral Hills. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 2005. Juba preceded her in death on June 21, 2006. Lorraine liked caring for her flowers and helping family and friends as a caregiver. An acomplished bugle player she played taps at military funerals over the years whenever she was called. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willard, Floyd and Glenn Jewell. She is survived by her daughter, Kristine McNamara (Doug Lintz) of Iron River Brother, George Jewell of Sault Ste. Marie, MI Grandchildren, Melissa Passamani and John McNamara Great grandchild, Hadley Good friend and caregiver, Tanya Nordstrom Memorial Service: Monday, August 15, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
