Louise "Susie" Lindstrom (Monnot), age 87, passed away July 5th, 2019 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. She was born February 16, 1932 in Pearson, WI, the daughter of Louis and Shrona (Tackett) Monnot. Susie married Ronald Lindstrom on May 2, 1953 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year. She attended Iron River schools and was a member of the class of 1950. Susie moved to Kenosha, WI shortly after and that’s where she and her husband made their home and raised their family. She worked in the Kenosha school system as the kids’ favorite lunch lady, and then spent several years working at Charmglow in Bristol, WI. She also worked at Hubbell Special Products before retiring and moving back to Iron River. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Kenosha and then the First Lutheran Church in Iron River. Susie was known as a happy, fun loving person. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid bowler and loved camping and traveling. She was a great cook and loved sharing her food with everyone. Susie always had a good joke to tell too. Music was a big part of her life. Singing and dancing whenever she could. We even had Sing-Along-with-Susie at the Iron River Care Center. Susie is survived by her husband; children, Ronald (Candice) Lindstrom Jr. of Lakeview, OH, Rick (Shelly) Lindstrom of Columbia, S.C., Debbie (Ed) Couture of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kevin Lindstrom of Madison Heights, VA, and Cheryl (John) Bobnock of Iron River, MI; and a sister, Patty (Eddie) Impola of Iron River. She had eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. We are grateful to all her caregivers at the Iron County Medical Care Facility and the Iron River Care Center.
