Luciana O. Torrespico

Luciana O. Torrespico, age 79, of Iron River, MI, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. She was born April 27, 1936 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of the late Juan and Anastacia (Morales) Ortiz.  She attended school in Mexico and came to the United States in 1966, settling in Chicago, IL. She moved to Iron River to make her home in 1994.  She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and Spanish novelas. Luciana is survived by her sons, Mariano, Salvador Jr., Guillermo Torrespico and daughter Elena Torrespico, all of Chicago; grandchildren, Mario Sardinas, Luca Caleb Olson and Emilio Torrespico; extended family; longtime companion, Robert C. Fritz of Iron River; and dear friend and neighbor, Michelle Malmquist. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Salvador Torrespico, followed by her daughter, Laura Torrespico. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River, with Rev.
