Lucille G. DellAngelo, age 94, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Laura (Jandron) Gauthier, born on July 4, 1929, in Ishpeming, MI. Lucille married Charles H. DellAngelo on February 8, 1947, in Ishpeming, MI and they moved to Iron River in 1964. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in 2015, before Charles passed away on November 11th of that same year. Together they had two children, Ann and Greg. Lucille attended Ishpeming High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress in her younger years. After moving to Iron River, she worked as the housekeeper of St. Agnes Catholic Church, a clerk at the Montgomery Ward Store, Coleman Products, and Dina Mia Kitchens. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the St. Agnes Altar Society, and a member of the choir since 1965. Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, always willing to help and give what she could. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, spending time at their family camp on the Paint River in Gibbs City that she and Charles built together, and fishing with her husband, usually catching bigger and more fish than him. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg DellAngelo, brother, Gerald Gauthier and sisters, Agnes Goyen and Paulette Kruger. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Ann (Frank) Raymond of Iron River; daughter-in-law, Lynn DellAngelo of Iron River, MI; three grandchildren, Lori Petts and Michael Andler, both of Iron River and Robyn (Tim) Cayemberg of Marinette, WI; six great grandchildren, Samantha and Tiffany Andler, Austin and Chelsea Petts, Corey and Cassie Cayemberg; 11 great-great grandchildren, Ethan, Audrianna, Deklin, Kayden, Kierra, Kristopher, Derryl, London, Jordyn, Carter, and Lyla; brother, Raymond (Barbara) Gauthier of Ishpeming, MI; brother-in-law, Wade Kruger of Port Huron, MI; a special nephew, Jerry Goyen and his wife Starr, of Lower Michigan, who loved coming to visit and play cribbage at least once a month; as well as many other nephews and nieces that were also special to her. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
