Lucille M. Raiha

Lucille M. Raiha, age 93, of Iron River, MI, passed away June 30, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center. Lucille was born August 16, 1921 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Carl and Ada (Elverson) Larson. She attended the Stambaugh Schools and graduated. Lucille married David Raiha on September 21, 1940 in Stambaugh. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2005. David preceded her in death on January 13, 2006. She worked at F.W. Means for 15 years. Lucille loved to garden, travel and work on arts and crafts. She also enjoyed raising appaloosa horses with her husband on their farm. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Larson. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Patricia Raiha of Hanover Park, IL, Diana Raiha of Cudahy, WI, Carol Raiha of De Pere, WI, and Susan Merz, of Green Bay, WI; grandson, David (Amy) Merz of Muskegon, MI; great grandchildren, Devin and Hans Merz; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stambaugh Township Hall. The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
