Lurleen M. Roberts

Lurleen M. Roberts, age 81, of Long Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Nu-Rock Community Healthcare in Laona, Wisconsin. Lurleen was born June 30, 1936 in Rhinelander, WI, the daughter of the late Bernard and Goldie (Chaney) Miron. She attended the Laona Schools. Lurleen married James Roberts on May 22, 1955 in Crandon, WI and the couple made their home in Long Lake. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in 1998, before James preceded her in death on February 8, 1999. Lurleen was a member of St. Norbert Catholic Church Parish of Long Lake, WI.  She was known for her outstanding cooking skills and she enjoyed gardening and her cats. She is survived by her son, James (Marsha) Roberts of Iron River, MI; daughter, Debra (Don) Schauer of Pembine, WI; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Werth. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Norbert Catholic Church of Long Lake. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Felix Penetante to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Long Lake Cemetery, Long Lake, WI.
