Margaret J. Burton

Margaret J. Burton, age 74, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1950, in Mulberry, KS, the daughter of the late Wilson and Shirley (Aldridge) Hartman. She graduated from Davis County High School in Bloomfield, IA. Margaret married James Burton on February 15, 1969, in Bloomfield, IA. The couple celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in 2008. James preceded her in death on May 2, 2008. She was employed as an LPN working in nursing homes before retiring. Margaret enjoyed campfires, four wheeling, dog sledding, and just being out in nature with family and friends. Margaret survived by her son, James (Tammy) Burton of Phelps, WI; daughters, Brenda Burton of Iron River, MI and Christy (Jason) Stephens of Iron River, MI; brothers, George (Linda) Hartman of Prairie Home, MO and Donnie Morlan of Gallatin, TN; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
