Margaret “Dolly” Testini, age 86, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Dolly was born on March 27, 1935, in Gaastra, MI, the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Anderman) Pigeon. She attended the Gaastra Schools. She married James John Testini on April 15, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the couple made their home in Iron River, and James preceded her in death in August 2006. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the Alter Society. Dolly a former member of the Iron River Lady Elks and the Iron River Eagles Auxiliary #1603. She was involved in the Head Start Program and served as a ‘Den Mother’ for Boy Scout Troop 521. She loved fishing, hunting, bowling, baseball, and football. She especially delighted in spending quality time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, James “Butch” (Marlene) Testini, Jr. of Caspian, MI and Gary Testini of Iron River, MI; daughter, Cathy Testini of Caspian, MI; brother, Dennis Pigeon of Caspian, MI; sisters, Susan Czech of Gaastra, MI, Judy Beauphrey of Pelkie, MI, Pearl Clark of Minocqua, WI, Nancy Villeneuve of Iron River, MI, and Mavis Woods of Crandon, WI; grandchildren, Megan Grant, Adam Grant, Jacob Grant, Dennis (Ann) Testini, Jonathan (Sarah) Testini, and Christopher (April) Testini; step grandchildren, Ron (Diane) DeZorzi and James DeZorzi; great grandchildren, Landon and Karsyn; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Henry and Michael Pigeon; her sister, Betty Evanson; and grandson, Zachary Grant. A graveside service at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River will be held in the spring.
