Margaret A. Turcotte, age 88 of Iron River, MI, died Tuesday November 3, 2009 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: October 10, 1921, Alpha, MI The daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Wiatrowski) Kocinski was a life long resident of the area. She attended the Alpha schools, graduating with the Class of 1939. On May 17, 1941, she married Chester Turcotte in Crystal Falls, and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 68th Wedding anniversary this year. Margaret was employed as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River and the St. Agnes Altar Society. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Michael and Benjamin, and two sisters, Helen Ozogo and Mary Ballo. She is survived by her husband, Chester One son, Randy (Catherine) Turcotte of Tempe, AZ One daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Karney of Anacortes, WA One brother, John (Collette) Kocinski of Hendersonville, NC Two sisters; Rose (Robert) Otto of Crystal Falls Barbara Martiny of Crystal Falls One granddaughter, Nicole Visitation: Monday, November 9, 2009 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
