Marie A. Mulqueen, age 84 of Iron River, MI, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. Born: November 17, 1925 in Amasa, MI The daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Passamani) Bicigo attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1945. Marie married Edward Mulqueen on October 13, 1956 and the couple made their home in Cudahy, WI, before retiring to Iron River in 1990. They celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in 1990. Edward preceded her in death on August 2, 1991. Marie was a woman of deep faith and member of St Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and St. Agnes Altar Society. She enjoyed crafts, word puzzles and spending time with her sisters. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Charles Hill, brothers Albert and Gerald Bicigo and sister Bette Switzer. She is survived by her son, Edward J. Mulqueen Jr. of Oak Creek, WI Daughters; Marie A. Schappacher of Buffalo, NY Mary (Colin) Gravning of Oak Creek, WI Brothers; Charles (Joan) Hill of South Haven, MI Gerald (Marilyn) Hill of Savannah, TN Sisters; Adeline Wescott of Iron River Emma Johnson of Pawnee, OK Norma Johnson of Iron River Eight grandchildren Nieces, nephews and extended family Memorial Service: Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Rev. Norman Clisch to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment: Bates Township Cemetery, Iron River Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
