Marilyn L. Meyer

Marilyn L. Meyer, age 82 of Iron River, MI, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: August 12, 1926 in Iron River, MI The daughter of the late Albin and Martha (Vitala) Zyskowski attended the Iron River schools. She married Donald Meyer on February 9, 1944 in Crystal Falls, and the couple were lifelong residents of the Iron River area. The couple was to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 9 of this year. Marilyn was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the St. Agnes Altar Society. She was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed growing flowers. Her favorite activity was taking her grandchildren for walks on ""Grandma's Nature Trail"". Marilyn also enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, taking trips, cruises, listening to Finnish music and boating in her little red boat on Hagerman Lake. Funeral Service: Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Rev. Jonathan Meyer, grandson, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
