Marilyn Salzeider

Marilyn L. Salzeider, of Pawnee, Illinois and Iron River, Michigan passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the comfort of her Husband, John Earl Salzeider, and sons, John (Robin) and Jerry (Sherri). Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, James (Christine). Marilyn was born on January 22, 1945, the daughter of Marvin and Doris Moe. A sister, Donna Graham preceded her in death in 2010. Marilyn resided in Pawnee from 1966 to 1996. While there, she was heavily involved with the Pawnee Picnic Association and Pawnee Sports Boosters. She leaves a number of great friends (sisters) in Pawnee and cherished her time there raising all three of her sons and her husband. In 1996, she and her husband moved to Iron River, Michigan to begin a new chapter in their life as a retired couple living on the lake. It is there Marilyn forged her most cherished memories in life with her grandchildren, Samantha, Abigail, Ryan, Tyler, Eric, Caitlin, Logan and Jack. Those thoughts carried her through her short battle with cancer and will remain with her always. Marilyn was known for her kind and generous nature and her unflappable ability as a caregiver to all. She had an immense heart and was always a friend. Her most precious times in life were spent with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered by all but especially by them. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Faithorn United Methodist Church, Faithorn, MI. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Faithorn.
