Marion E. Curtis

Marion E. Curtis, age 82, formerly of Stambaugh, MI, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Marion was born March 9, 1927 in Stambaugh, MI to Jack and Doris (Mitchell) Curtis. She attended Iron River and Stambaugh schools. Marion spent her last years at Iron County Medical Care Facility where a dedicated, caring, loving staff and administration made her a part of their extended family since 1966. Marion enjoyed many facility trips to parades, shopping etc. She enjoyed doing craftwork and was proud of the ribbons she received at the fair. Working crossword puzzles and building puzzles was a favorite pastime. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Doris (Don) Birdsell, a brother John Curtis, and two sister-in-laws Janet Curtis and June Curtis. She is survived by two brothers; William Curtis of Iron River Tom (Jean) Curtis of Lake Tomahawk, WI Two sisters; Jane (Vincent) Eagloski of Iron River Ruth (William) Ruscinski of Lansing, MI Many nieces and nephews Visitation: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
