Marjorie ""Marge"" Ruth Duvall, 93, Iron River, MI, died peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, where she had resided since 2006. She was born August 8, 1919 in Stambaugh, Michigan, daughter of the late Solomon and Ruth (Johnson) Erickson. She attended the Iron Mountain Schools, graduating in 1934. She also attended North Park College in Chicago, IL. She married Elmer Duvall on February 17, 1946 in Iron Mountain. The couple resided in Iron Mountain and moved to Iron River in 1957 when the couple purchased the Buchanan Funeral Home. Marge assisted her husband in the operation of the Duvall Funeral Home until their retirement on July 1, 1978. Marge was an active member of the Grace Covenant Church, the Covenant Women, and the 20th Century Women 's Club, which she was the President of from 1961 to 1963. She loved to entertain by having friends over for dinner. She enjoyed cooking her Swedish dishes and took special pride in her rye bread, making several loaves to pass out to others. Marge was also a dedicated caregiver to all her elder relatives. She also took in others when they needed a home to stay, namely Henry Anderson and Steven Drake. Friends will remember her by her clean house and lawn mowing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer on May 4, 1991, and daughter, Ruth on May 2, 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Blaise) Andreski of Crystal Falls, MI; son, John (Lynn) Duvall of Little Chute, WI; six grandchildren, Joan 's children, Ben, Jenny, and Hanna, and John 's children, Tim, Amy and Chris; four great grandchildren, Ben 's sons, Alex and Sam, Jenny 's son Jax, and Amy 's daughter, Jacy. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River, Rev. James Swanson to officiate..
