Marjorie Nordstrom, age 79, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1940 in Mishawaka, IN, the daughter of the late Oscar and Beryl (Leonard) Teeter. Marjorie married Marshall Nordstrom on July 13, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this year. Along with raising her children, Marjorie was employed as a caregiver at an adult foster care facility. She was a former member of the Assembly of God Church in Iron River. Marjorie was a champion on the women’s pool league, where she played for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, loved interior decorating and crafting, playing cards, and cooking. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Marshall; sons, Irving (Hiedi) Nordstrom of Griswold, CT and Marshall Nordstrom of Iron River, MI; daughters, Linda Nordstrom, Teresa Nordstrom, and Connie Nordstrom, all of Iron River, MI; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Nordstrom of Iron River, MI; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Marsha Nordstrom; son, Kevin Nordstrom; brothers, Harold, Bob, and Wally; and sisters, Hazel and Shirley. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the U.P. Calvary Bible Church in Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm with Mark Mattson to officiate.
