Mark J. Anderson

Mark J. Anderson, age 58 of Iron River, MI, died Saturday November 14, 2009 at the Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: April 19, 1951 in Stambaugh, MI The son of Elmer and Dorothy (Tomasoski) Anderson was a life long resident. He attended Gaastra Elementary school and graduated from West Iron County High School. He then attended Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI. He married the former Cheryl Paquette August 11, 1973 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River and the couple made their home in Stambaugh. They celebrated their Silver Wedding anniversary in 1998 and their 36th wedding anniversary this year. He was employed as a lineman and meter reader for Upper Pennisula Power Company for many years retiring in 2005 He enjoyed family, friends and his time with his granddaughters. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, his camp and Nascar. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, and the IBEW (International Brotherhood Electrical Workers) Local 510. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Anderson. Survived by his wife, Cheryl Mother, Dorothy Anderson, Gaastra, MI Son, Eric Anderson, Iron River Daughter, Shannon (Gar) Lutes, Caspian, MI Two granddaughters; Alexis and Ashlyn Brothers; Michael (Jeanne) Anderson, Lakeville, MN Alan (Kim) Anderson, Grafton, WI Sister, Kathleen Haydon, Iron River Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Friday November 20, 2009 from 10:00 to 12:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Memorial services: Friday November 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with the Rev.
