Mark A. Johnson

Mark A. Johnson, 61, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was born on January 5, 1963, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Ralph and Sharon (Olson) Johnson. Mark attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mark was employed as a pipefitter and retired from Bacco Construction. He was a member of Local Union 1329. Mark was a fun-loving guy who loved to tell stories, play cribbage, and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved being on his property in Beechwood, that is where his heart was. Mark had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He will be missed by family and friends. Mark is survived by his son, Mark Johnson II of Kingsford, MI; daughter, Melissa (Ken) LaCosse of Republic, MI; brothers, Mike Johnson and Neil Johnson, both of Iron River; sisters, Linda (Ed) Panyard of Higgins Lake, MI and Shelley (Paul) Tomlinson of Iron River; grandchildren, Elliana LaCosse, Gavin Vanvorst, and Sarah LaCosse; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
