Marvin E. Soderbloom

Marvin E. Soderbloom, age 73, Iron River, MI died Sunday Sept. 9, 2007 at his home. Born: July 19, 1934 in Stambaugh, MI The son of the late Carl and Emily (Anderson) Soderbloom was a lifelong resident. He attended the Stambaugh schools and graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1953. He worked in the local hardware stores since graduation and for many years worked at Ace Hardware in Iron River. He married the former Charlotte Okoneski Hay on December 9, 1972 in Crystal Falls, MI and the couple made their home in Stambaugh. Marvin was an all around ""Handyman"" who helped many people. He could never say NO. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan, bowler, and enjoyed golfing, cribbage, smear, and Soderbloom rummy. He was a former member of the Iron River Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heidi, a brother, Carl, and sisters, Eunice and Ingrid. Funeral Services: Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Iron River Bible Church of Iron River, with the Rev. Dan Waters to officiate. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River.
