Mary Louise Lord Age 92 Iron River, MI Passed away Saturday January 26, 2013 at North Star Health System. Born: September 14, 1920 in Oak Park, Illinois The daughter of the late Gerald and Ruth (Borland) Skilbeck attended the Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She married Kenneth Lord on June 25, 1949 in Kenosha, WI. The couple moved to Gaastra to make their home in 1982. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in 1994. Kenneth preceded her in death in 1995. She was a member of the Grace Covenant Church of Iron River. Prior to that she attended the Assemblies of God church in Iron River and Kenosha, WI, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mary Lou enjoyed working with the girls in the Missionettes program at church. She was a member of the Gideons and Women 's Aglow. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She was also a member of the Carrie Jacobs Bond Quilting Club. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Skilbeck and sisters, Helen Buckles, Marge Robinson, and Patricia Skilbeck. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Sharlene) Lord of Ishpeming, MI Daughters: Sandie (Michael) Nies of Iron River Linda Lord of Duluth, MN Sister, Dorothy (Orlo) Peters of Alabama Four grandchildren; David (Lora) Lord Rebecca (Chris) Mann Kathryn Lord Kassandra Lord Four great grandchildren; Elijah and Caleb Mann, and Alex and Hannah Lord Nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 11:00a.m. till 12:45p.m. at the River Church in Iron River. Funeral Service: Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 1:00p.m. at the River Church in Iron River, with Pastor James Pellizzer to officiate.
