Maryjane Otto

MaryJane Otto, age 94, of Iron River, MI passed away on Friday November 11, 2022, at the Iron River Care Center. She was born January 19, 1928, in Newald, WI, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ethel (McKeller) Seymour. MaryJane married Lester A. Otto on May 15, 1945, at the Iron River Gospel Tabernacle and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2007, before Lester preceded her in death on January 22, 2008. She was employed as a waitress for many years. MaryJane was a member of Iron River Episcopal Church. She enjoyed making dolls, knitting, and collecting antiques, especially salt and pepper shakers. MaryJane is survived by her sons, Clinton (Allison) Otto of Iron River and William (Marlene) Otto of Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ernestine in 1967; brothers, Fred, Earl, and Clinton Seymour; and sister, Rosetta Hanttula. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River with Rev. David Carlisle to officiate.
