Matilda Paraventi

Matilda ""Tillie"" June Paraventi Age 85 Iron River, MI Passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. She was born May 16, 1927in Alpha, MI, the daughter of the late Martin and Kathryn (Olejar) Husar. She attended the Gaastra and Alpha Schools, graduating in 1945. Tillie married Joseph Paraventi on May 27, 1950 at St. Agnes Church of Iron River, and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2000. Joseph preceded her in death on July 27, 2009. She was employed as a Nurse 's Aide for the Iron County Medical Care Facility for many years. Tillie was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Rosary Sodality and Third Order Mt. Carmel of Fatima. Survived by her son, Joseph (Jo-Ann) Paraventi of Ashland, WI Daughters, Yvonne (Charles) Ayer of Homosassa, Florida Roxanne (John) Melchiori of Iron River Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John, Frank and Joseph Husar, and sister, Cecelia Clements.
