Matthew John Miatech

Matthew John Miatech, age 31, of Bruce, MS, formerly of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Sunflower County, MS as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on June 23, 1988 in Iron River, MI, the son of Teresa (Johnson) Cimarelli and Terry Miatech.  He attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 2007.  Matthew was employed by Terry and Sherri Weaver of Houlka Appliance as a repair technician. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stambaugh.  Matthew was an outdoor enthusiast who loved hunting, four wheeling, golfing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. As a child, Matthew and his mother loved going to their secret fishing spot as well as bird hunting on Morrison Creek Road. He loved grilling out with his children for family and friends and watching the Green Bay Packers. We will all miss Matthew as he was the life of the party.  Matthew is survived by his fiancée, Britney Wilkins and children, Dani Miatech, Zander, Khloe  and Marlaina of Bruce, MS and Brynn Bisson of Oconto Falls, WI; mother, Teresa and Michael Cimarelli of Iron River; father, Terry (Renee) Miatech; brothers, Aaron Cimarelli and James Miatech; maternal grandmother, Neala Johnson; step grandparents, John and Dolly Cimarelli; step great grandmother, Delores Cimarelli; uncles, Glen (Kathy) Miatech and David (Annie) Johnson; aunts, Kathy Merchant, Julie (Jack) Benson, Kathy (Jimmer) Anderson, Shelby (Kelly) Johnson, Janine (Dane) Shovald, Kristie (Bob) Lindberg; cousins Hannah, Megan, Seth, Marshall, Michael, Jacob, Christian, Ryan, Bradley, Rusty, Halley, Cory, Kendall, Lucas, and Paige; lifelong friends, Travis Devowe and Jenna Grieg; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Janice Miatech; maternal great grandmother, Irma Rintala; and step great grandmother, Betty Roberts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 9:30 to 11:45am at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm with Andrew Hill to officiate.  A visitation was held for family and friends on August 23, 2019 at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce MS. Pallbearers will be Bradley Anderson, Jacob Benson, Cory Shovald, Travis DeVowe, Chris Aldegarie, and Jared Coates.
