Maxine L. Land

Maxine L. Land, 86, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, November 01, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital Marquette, MI.She was born July 3, 1927 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of the late Mirl and Flora (Belser) Buckmaster. She attended school in Roseville, MI. Maxine married Robert Land and he preceded her in death in July of 1996.Maxine was a member of the Baptist Church and the Moose Club. She lived in Warren, MI and in Tennessee for several years buying and selling antiques, and collected glassware and dolls. Maxine enjoyed drawing portraits, tending her houseplants, reading about history, and working on her genealogy. The loves of her life were her children and her two dogs, Bucky and Benny.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Bell; brothers, Mirl and Kenneth; sisters, Juanita and Francis; and a grandson.Maxine is survived by her sons, Richard Land of Warren, MI, and Gary Timchuck of Spring Hill, FL; daughters, Kathleen Arnoldi of Iron River, Nancy (Robert) Young of Warren, MI, and Dee Dee Marshal of Tawas, MI; sister, Diane (Joseph) Poff of Warren, MI; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
