Michael D. Brzoznowski

December 20, 1954 — September 5, 2020

Michael D. Brzoznowski, age 65, of Iron River, MI, met his Lord and Savior in Glory on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was born December 20, 1954 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Edward and Elaine (Topel) Brzoznowski. He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1972. Michael followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming a farmer, and taking over the family Centenary Farm in Gibbs City, which is still being proudly farmed today by his nephew, Brad Brzoznowski. Michael enjoyed traveling, fishing, farming, but most importantly sharing the good news of salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He faced many trials and tribulations in life, but it was his ultimate mission in life to help people understand that they can be set free and have the free gift of eternal life with Jesus. He would ask you if you would like this gift too. He gave much of his time to help people with their spiritual needs through ministering at the local jail and mission, Men’s ministries, as well as across the country with YWAM Ministry and Gideon Bible Society. He attended Upper Peninsula River Church in Iron River. He was especially proud of and adored his grandchildren Eli, Lorelei, Lydia, Paige, Brandon, Amelia, Anna, Cecilia, and Mason. Like any proud Grampa, would take all opportunities to brag about them, their abilities and achievements to any happy listener. He prayed daily for them and his children Angela (Michael) Schindler of Alpine, NSW, Australia, Mindy Levinson of Faithorn, MI, and Michael (Gail) Brzoznowski of Crystal Falls, MI. He was proud to share the name of Brzoznowski with his brothers and sister, Barbara (Bob Benter) of Iron River, MI, Tom of Iron River, MI, Gene (Jessica) of Sagola, MI, Gary of Iron River, MI, and Bruce (Terri) of Iron River, MI, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Adelina. He will be greatly missed, but the family takes great comfort in knowing he is celebrating and dancing with a new arm and fingers with his Heavenly Father. A service celebrating his life will be held at U.P. River Church on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
