Michael A. Dungan

Michael A. Dungan, 34, of Iron River, MI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 3, 2024, after an auto accident. He was born on September 16, 1990, in Waterbury, CT, the son of John Dungan and Elizabeth (Hall) Burmeister. He attended the West Iron County Schools. Michael was employed in customer service. He enjoyed playing music, especially the guitar, and was very artistic and liked helping people with their Halloween special effects makeup. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and John Burmeister of Lykens, PA; father and stepmother, John and Charlene Dungan of Oshkosh, WI; daughter, Nora; brothers, Damian Dungan of Neenah, WI, John Dungan and Kristofer Burmeister, both of Lykens, PA; stepbrothers, George (Alexis) Sage of Berlin, WI and Nicholas Sage of Oshkosh, WI; sisters, Bridget (Alex) White of Garner, NC and Sage Burmeister of Lykens, PA; half-sister, Abbeyjoi (Jake) Frankel of Maine; stepsister, Monique Sage of Berlin, WI; paternal grandparents, Roy and Marcia Dungan of Bristol, CT; many aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Hall. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Seth Waters to officiate. Michael was proud of his Irish heritage and the family asks for attendees to wear green.
