Michael A. James

Michael A. “Turk” James, age 47, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Michael was born on March 18, 1973 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Carol (Meyers) James and the late Allan James. He attended West Iron County Schools. He was employed as a cook at Dina Mia Kitchens and had also worked in the deli at Family Foods for 14 years. He was known for singing with the girls in the kitchen at Dina Mia while he worked. Michael was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, gardening, fishing, watching football and NASCAR, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved camping. Michael is survived by his mother, Carol; brother, Robert James of Caspian, MI; sister, Tammy Miskell (Quinn Youngberg) of Caspian, MI; niece, Jessica Miskell (Tyler Bonin) of Trout Creek, MI; nephew, Patrick Miskell of Caspian, MI; great nieces, Saige, Hunter, and Autumn; special friends, Brian Pidgeon and Mike Andler and the CPR Crew; extended family and his beloved dog, Buddy.
