Mildred M. Anderson

Mildred M. Anderson, age 92, of Gaastra, MI, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. She was born on March 12, 1930, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Servia) Bilski. Mildred married Dalwin “Bud” Anderson on July 10, 1954, at St. Mary’s Church and together they made their home in Gaastra, where they raised their four children. She was unexpectedly preceded in death by her husband on January 26, 1985, this left a huge hole to fill in her life. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also babysat for many other “grandkids” and spoke often of her memories of all her grandkids over the years. In addition, she also worked in the kitchen at the Big Boy restaurant and Losey’s Landing Supper Club. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI. Mildred is survived by her brother, John (Mary Ann) Bilski; sister-in-law, Klaryce Bilski; three daughters, Sandy (Mike) Goriesky, Debbie (Rodney) Camps, and Mari Kay (Patrick) McNamara; one son, Tommy (Lisa) Anderson; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa) Goriesky, Nick Goriesky, Joe (Erin) Goriesky, Ryan (Samantha) Camps, Jason (Jenna) Camps, Madiline and Katrina McNamara, and Haley Anderson; great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Josh, Jacob, Abby, Alex, Kali, and Nathan; one great great grandchild, Ayla; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Bilski and sisters, Jenny (Dominic) Signorin and Dolores (Gerald) Jurecic. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI with Rev. Jose Cherian to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Mildred will be laid to rest and reunited with her husband at the Stambaugh Cemetery in Iron River, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Anne’s Society at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI.
