Molly M. Anderson

After a 30 year fight with Multiple Sclerosis, Molly M. Anderson, age 57 of Iron River, MI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 07, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. She was born July 8, 1955, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Robert and Phyllis (Buddle) Johnson. She attended the West Iron County schools, graduating from West Iron County High School in 1973. Molly married John Carl Anderson on December 18, 1982 in Iron River, MI. The couple resided in Ontonagon, MI for a number of years, where they owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store and J.C. Penny Catalog Store. They moved to Iron River in the summer of 1998. Her husband John preceded her in death on January 31, 2006. Molly was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Iron River. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Phyllis Johnson, husband John Anderson and step mother Winifred Johnson. She is survived by her brother Russ (Judy) Johnson, step brother Alton (Linda) Westman, sisters in law Joan (Tim) Bonner, Carol (Dennis) Margoni ; Nephews Wyatt and Riley Johnson, Tom Bonner, Michael Margoni and Kenneth (Melissa) Westman; Nieces Dana Margoni and Kristin (Wade) Edwards. Also survived by a large extended family and special friend Deb Chervo. Molly was a beautiful, talented, and creative girl who was locked inside an unresponsive body. She enjoyed painting, photography, poetry and her pets. She was always smiling, even when most people would think there was nothing to smile about. Her courage is an inspiration to many. She was shining example of the phrase ""Never give up, never, ever give up!"" Molly spent 14 years at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Over time the excellent caregivers there became Molly 's friends and family. A big thank you to all who contributed to Molly 's well being. Also, thank you Dr. Han for your concern, compassion, and hard work. Visitation: Friday, August 10, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River. Funeral Services: Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River, with Rev. Bonny Kinnunen, Pastor, to officiate.
