Nancy R. Ambrose

Nancy R. Ambrose, 77, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She was born on July 16, 1944, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late, Aldo and Marjorie (Williams) Tarsi. Nancy married Matthew Ambrose on December 6, 1969, in Iron River, MI. He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. Nancy loved going to the casino, crocheting, and cooking for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, smear, and cribbage and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kelly Garavet of Iron River, MI; brother, James (Sandra) Tarsi of Marquette, MI; sister, Sally Shovald of Iron River, MI; grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Garavet and Kailey (Zane) Sarafiny; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Karen Tarsi; infant nephew, Zachary Tarsi; and brother-in-law, James Shovald. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev.
