Nancy J. Carlson Age 88 Iron River, MI Passed away March 23, 2012 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Born: January 19, 1924 in Stambaugh Township, MI The daughter of the late Dillard and Sudie (Ponders) Puckett attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School. Nancy married Willard Carlson on December 15, 1945 in Iron River and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. Willard preceded her in death on February 3, 1972. She was employed for many years at Arnells Restaurant and later at Coleman Products. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron River. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens, spending time with her grandchildren, and going to church. She is survived by one son, Jerry (Freida) Carlson of Iron River Three daughters, Ruth (Carlson) Kellogg of Bellingham, WA Shirley Carlson of Pittsburg, CA Susan (Carlson) Guzowski of Vulcan, MI One brother, James (Annette) Puckett of Iron River One sister, Loretta (Sam) Moore of Shawano, WI 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family She was also preceded in death by grandson, Ryan Guzowski; eight brothers, Andrew, Allen, Louis, David, Herman, and infant brothers, Richard, Frances and Eugene, and six sisters; Gladys Rowe, Elsie Abrahamson, Eunice Newman, Elizabeth Woodring, Edith Underwood, and Pearl Watkins. Visitation: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Iron River with Rev. John Fish to officiate. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Alvin, WI.
