Nancy A. Olson

Nancy A. Olson, age 64, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born August 17, 1955 in Crosby, MN, the daughter of the late Frank and Berneice (Peterson) Butorac, Sr. She attended West Iron County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1973. Nancy married Loren Olson on August 30, 1975 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI. The couple celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in 2019. Loren preceded her in death on January 11, 2020. She was employed as manager of Holiday gas station. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. She enjoyed making quilts, loved home improvement projects, being outdoors, going on rides with her husband, and spending lots of time with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her son, Jason (Melissa) Olson of Iron River; daughter, Angie (Scott Douglas) Olson of Iron River; four grandchildren, LeRoy, Chaselynn, Ellianna, and Rayne Olson; brothers, Thomas (Janice) Butorac of Colorado Springs, CO, Frank (Barbara) Butorac of Iron River, MI, James (Mary) Butorac of Ishpeming, MI, Mark (Julie) Butorac of Fort Atkinson, WI, and Brian (Susan) Butorac of Spokane, WA; sister, Anna (Dave Thall) Butorac of Ingleside, IL; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, John; infant sister, Carol Butorac and her brother, Charles Butorac. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
