Nancy L. Peryam, age 90, of Amasa, MI, beloved mother of Scott and Sterling Peryam, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on November 11, 1930 in Amasa, MI, the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Tusa) Gorman. She attended and graduated from the Amasa Schools with the Class of 1948. Nancy married William T. Peryam on August 30, 1951. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1978. She was employed as a secretary by Allis Chalmers for over 20 years. She also worked for Newport News Shipbuilding, a subsidiary in Brookfield, WI. Nancy was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Amasa and belonged to Beta Sigma Phi in Milwaukee for 20 years. She loved flower arranging and enjoyed dancing, camping, cooking, and playing cribbage. Spending quality time with her family was most important to her and she was very close to her grandfather, Victor Tusa. She was also fond of traveling; much of it spent visiting her sons and their families. Nancy is survived by her sons, Scott (Sally) Peryam of Missoula, MT, and Sterling (Marylinn) Peryam of Iron River, MI; sister, Joyce Moore of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jill) Peryam, Elizabeth Peryam, and Stephanie Ann (Aaron) Lenk; great grandchildren, Olivia Peryam, Lillian Warren, and Arya Lenk; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. Interment will be at a later date in the Hematite Township Cemetery in Amasa.
