Nancy Ann Ponta

Nancy Ann Ponta, age 55 of Iron River (Bates Township), MI, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at her home. Nancy was born November 23, 1954 in Highland Park, Michigan, daughter of the late Herbert and Delores Ponta and graduated from West Iron County High School. An avid reader, she enjoyed music and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Dianne Larson, nephew, Robert Larson, and niece, Jaclyn Blazier. She is survived by her son, Eric Ponta of Killeen, TX; three grandchildren, Aubrey and Ethan of Waco, TX, and Audreanna of Crystal Falls; two great grandchildren, Zander and Emily of Crystal Falls; her brother Herbert (Peggy) Ponta of Menominee, MI; two sisters, Ellen (Richard) Sarber of Bates Township, and Roxann (James) Hibbert of Algonac, MI; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel of Iron River. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
