Nancy J. Stapleton

Nancy J. Stapleton, age 99, of Alvin, WI, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander, WI. She was born January 8, 1918 in Alvin, WI, the daughter of the late Herbert and Mittie (Puckett) Spencer. Nancy married Courtney Stapleton on November 11, 1939 in Alvin. Courtney preceded her in death on March 8, 2005. She was a member of The Little White Church of Alvin. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Rev. Richard) Littleton of Monico, WI; grandchildren, Randall (Joan) Daine, Kevin (Katha) Noonan; great grandchildren, Taylor, Courtney, Chris, Andrea, Katlyn; step great grandchildren, Dillon and Travis; great, great grandchildren, Hunter and Keira; brother, Herman Spencer and sister, Mary Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Sue; sisters, Lorraine, Edna, Eva and Elma; brothers, Clayton and Thaddeus. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Noonan to officiate.
