Nancy L. Storti, 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away in the presence of her family on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Menominee Health Services in Menominee, MI.
She was born on June 30, 1946, in Marquette, MI, the daughter of the late Roy and Evelyn (Hood) Barrett. She attended and graduated from Gwinn High School with the class of 1964.
She loved her family with her whole heart. Nancy married James Storti on June 26, 1965, at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Gwinn, MI. The couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this year.
She was employed as a clerk at Pamida for 17 years. She was a member of the Iron River Bible Church. Her hobbies included: sewing, scrapbooking, gardening, collecting dolls, and sitting on the porch enjoying the fresh air. She loved celebrating and decorating for Christmas. She also enjoyed shopping and baking with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband, James of Iron River, son, James (Terri) Storti of Iron River, MI; daughters, Cheryl (Daniel) DeVowe of Iron River, MI, Laurie (Brian) Lewis of Petoskey, MI and Evy Rae (Sean) Wright of Marinette, WI; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Steve Barrett of Gwinn, MI; as well as extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Barrett, a sister, Judith Cottom, and a grandchild, Aaron Wright.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Iron River Bible Church. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Kurt Schroder to officiate.
Interment will be in the Iron River Cemetery.
